Rafting

Japalão, TO

One of the best ways to get to know the Rio Novo (New River) is taking the four day rafting adventure, with various stops and chances to explore the shore. On the relatively easy journey (there are some rocks and river bends, though), you'll see the rainforest on the edge of the river and lots of wildlife and flora that are common to the riverine environment. Guide and equipment provided. Ends at Cachoeira da Velha (Old Waterfall).
